October 23, 2009 - Jock Callander Retirement Night

The Jacks pay tribute to legendary Lumberjack Jock Callander.  He will join the ranks of Moose Lallo, Lynn Margarit, Joe Kastelic, Gary Ford, Bryan McLay, Bob Tombari, Scott Gruhl, and Scott Feasby when his #15 jersey will be hung from the rafters on October 23rd. 

Callander is the IHL's All-time Leading Scorer with 1,402 points.  He ranks 2nd all-time in assists in the IHL with 848 and 3rd in goals with 554.  He played 8 seasons in Muskegon, leading the Jacks to the Turner Cup in 1986 and 1989.  Callander was named to the IHL First-Team All-Star Team in 1986-87 and 1991-92, playing in four IHL All-Star games in his career.

Callander spent 109 games in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning, including a Stanley Cup Championship in 1992 with the Pens!
