MUSKEGON, Mich.– L.C. Walker Arena is the place to be this December, as a full calendar of events makes the last month of 2011 the best month for entertainment in the Port City. In addition to Muskegon Lumberjacks games, popular comedian Larry the Cable Guy brings his Tailgate Party tour to L.C. Walker Arena Friday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets are still available starting at just $15! The ever-popular Teddy Bear Toss returns Saturday, Dec. 10, as the Lumberjacks host the Omaha Lancers at 7:15 p.m. Every fan bringing a stuffed toy will receive discounted admission ($10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors), with kids 12 and under receiving a free ticket. All contributions will go to local Head Start classrooms and Toys For Tots; 107 MUS is our media partner for this worthwhile event.
Two meetings with conference foe Indiana round out the Jacks’ December slate. Take a break from hectic holiday happenings by taking in Muskegon’s Sunday, Dec. 18 game, with the special start time of 5:15 p.m. 107 MUS will be in the house taking donations to the Coats for Kids cause.
Finishing a busy month, the Jacks will renew a Muskegon tradition with Carload Night Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7:15 p.m. Each vehicle will be charged $40 for entry no matter how many people are inside!
In other entertainment news, L.C. Walker Arena is playing host to competitive cheer for the first time Tuesday, Dec. 20 when Mona Shores High School welcomes nearly 30 visiting West Michigan schools for the inaugural Sailor Invitational. Contact the box office for tickets and information.
