January 20, 2012 | |
Click to find out how to team up with the Lumberjacks Saturday, Jan. 21 to raise cancer awareness and support Muskegon's Johnson Family Cancer Center
On January 21, the Muskegon Lumberjacks will pay tribute to those in our community who have been affected by cancer. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Johnson Family Cancer Center in Muskegon.
How you can get involved:
Everyone who attends the game will receive a purple ribbon pin.
For $2, purchase a Chuck-a-Puck to throw on the ice during second intermission for the chance to win Little Caesar’s pizza, a John Morrell hot dog, or the $500 grand prize.
For $5, purchase a purple luminary. After the game, everyone with a luminary will be invited to bring it down to the ice for a moment of silence.
For $10, donate a ticket for the game to a local hospice volunteer, employee, patient or family member.
For $20, purchase a special-edition “Jacks Fight Cancer” t-shirt, which includes a bonus ticket to any upcoming Jacks home game. They’re available in the Sawmill now!
For $50, pay tribute to a loved one whose life has been affected by cancer in the Lumberjacks program.
For $100, a Lumberjack will play in honor or memory of your loved one, which will be announced to the crowd during a special extended starting line-up.
If you have any questions or would like to donate a ticket or purchase a tribute in the program or starting line-up, please contact Sarah Lambert at (231) 724-JACK or slambert@muskegonlumberjacks.com.
