GENEVA, IL- Jake Jaremko scored twice and Ales Stezka pitched a 20-save shutout to lift the Steel to a 3-0 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks Saturday at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
Jaremko netted the game’s opening goal midway through the second period, and Brannon McManus added a second in that same frame to make the score 2-0 after two.
Jaremko potted an empty-netter to cap off the 3-0 shutout.
Muskegon’s offense was held to just 20 shots on goal after they poured 77 on net in the first two games of the weekend against Bloomington. The Jacks won two of their three games this weekend, but were only able to salvage four goals in total.
Keith Petruzzelli dropped to 18-10-0 on the year, making 25 saves on 27 shots.
Green Bay won in Youngstown, meaning the Jacks’ magic number remains at nine.
The Jacks hit the road this weekend, and will play Tri-City for a pair at the Vaiero Center.
