FARGO, ND- The Fargo Force scored four power-play goals en route to a 6-1 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks at Scheels Arena Saturday.

Egor Afanasyev scored the lone goal for Muskegon, an even-strength tally that tied the game at one in the first period. Marc Del Gaizo’s shot was deflected to Afanasyev in the right circle, and the Russian rookie buried the shot for his fourth goal of the season.

Marc has now notched a point in each of the Jacks’ last ten road games. Anthony Del Gaizo also grabbed a point on the goal, his 43rd of the year.

From there, it was all Fargo, who scored just 28 seconds after Afanasyev to take the 2-1 lead. They scored three in the second period and another in the third.

Muskegon was outshot 46-30 in the game, and Keegan Karki was charged with the loss, conceding five goals on 33 shots in two periods of work. Zach Borgiel stopped 12 of 13 shots in relief.

The trip is Muskegon’s longest of the season, and the Jacks come away with two points thanks to their 1-0 win on Friday.

The Jacks next hit the ice on Friday back home at LC Walker Arena, where they are 10-6-2 so far this year. Friday is Made in Michigan night, with local businesses on display during the game.

Both Friday and Saturday’s games are against the Madison Capitols and begin at 7:15pm.
