MUSKEGON, MI- The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced their 30-man roster. With the USHL preseason beginning on Friday, the Jacks will hit the ice soon with an impressive group of veterans, as well as exciting new additions.
Headlining returners include Cam Berg, Christophe Fillion, Dylan Wendt, Danil Gushchin, Rhett Pitlick and Hank Kempf.
Gushchin and Pitlick are both drafted to NHL teams, and combined to score 89 points last season.
Exciting newcomers include first-round Phase II draft pick Cristophe Tellier, who was second among all BCHL skaters last season with 71 points. The Lumberjacks also tendered a pair of forwards: Owen Mehlenbacher and Ivan Miroshnichenko. Both have high-end offensive abilities that have the Muskegon front office excited.
The Jacks also added John Farinacci, a former Jack who played last season at Harvard. The Arizona Coyotes draft pick scored 22 points as a true freshman, and figures to be among the USHL’s most exciting players this year.
