MUSKEGON, Mich. - The Muskegon Lumberjacks announced today that the club has dealt goaltender Thomas Heaney to the Omaha Lancers in exchange for a 2022 fifth-round pick.
Heaney, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound netminder appeared in 23 games with Mount St. Charles Academy U18 during the 2020-21 regular season with a record of 19-5-3. The Oceanport, N.J. native put up a 1.90 GAA and a .916 save percentage while with the Mounties.
As compensation for Heaney, the Lumberjacks will acquire a fifth-round draft pick in the 2022 USHL Phase 2 draft from the Lancers.
The Lumberjacks are gearing up for their 2021-22 season, starting the regular season on the road with the DICK’S Sporting Goods Fall Classic in Pittsburgh on September 25. The Lumberjacks home opener is October 15, taking on the Chicago Steel. Single-game tickets are now on sale.
