MUSKEGON, MI- The Muskegon Lumberjacks have acquired forward Logan Jenuwine from the Lincoln Stars in exchange for a ninth-round, Phase II draft pick in tomorrow’s draft.

Jenuwine, who will turn 20 years old on May 15, brings two seasons of USHL experience with him to Muskegon. The Romeo, MI native has skated in a total of 74 USHL games with three different teams, and scored 19 points (6-13-19).

“Logan was an outstanding playoff performer this season with Lincoln,” said general manager John Vanbiesbrouck. “He brings USHL experience to our team, and is a Michigan native. We’re excited to bring him on board.”

In the playoff run discussed by Vanbiesbrouck, Jenuwine scored two goals and added two assists in seven playoff games for the Stars. Jenuwine and the Stars were able to advance in the first round past the Sioux Falls Stampede, but fell in the Western Conference Semifinal to the Anderson Cup Champion Waterloo Black Hawks.

Jenuwine, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs in at 200 pounds, is a left-handed winger committed to Western Michigan University. Prior to arriving in the USHL, he was a standout for Romeo HS in southeast Michigan. During his senior year, Jenuwine tallied 46 goals and 96 points, breaking his own school record for most points in a season. Jenuwine is also Romeo’s all-time leader in points, goals and assists.

Jeuwine is expected to join the team for Lumberjacks main camp over memorial day weekend. The four-day camp runs from Thursday, May 24 to Sunday, May 27.
